One of my biggest pet peeves is people who CONSTANTLY complain. I know that everyone knows somebody that fits the bill...a person that will always bring the conversation down, is always having a bad day, or always has a life altering problem. I don't mean to sound insensitive but it's exhausting to be around/communicate with these type of people. And honestly - how is it possible that your life is THAT bad?!?! If things are truely as bad as they seem; what are you doing to fix the issues? I know that everyone has a bad day now and then but that's not what I'm talking about.
By no means do I mean to say that I have the perfect attitude all the time. Obviously, that's not the case. I just wish that people could understand how difficult they make their life by being down in the dumps all the time. And also how it affects everyone around them. I read a powerful quote once and I try to keep it in mind when I start thinking like a debbie downer. The quote is part of LuluLemon's manifesto. The quote is below:
"The conscious brain can only hold one thought at a time. Choose a positive thought."
Isn't that a good thought?! Like I said, I try to keep it in mind when days are tough. Anyway - sorry for the rant. These thoughts have just been on my mind. I think I'm going to try and find a way to inspire others to think positively. If you have any ideas feel free to send them my way!!
