A little fern friend

I was at Lowe's last night picking up a few supplies I needed and I saw the most adorable little plant. And it was in a super cute red, shiny pot. Then the magic happened...I saw the price. $5.00!! Here it is:




I've been wanting to add some more little plants around the house but in the past I haven't been super successful at keeping them alive. I figured for five bucks I could give it another whirl. I also have two things working in my favor: I've kept my outdoor plants alive ALL summer (WAHOO!) AND Lowe's will let you return any plant that dies within one of purchase. This baby was going home with me!

I put it on the end table in the living room. I think that keeping it near the window is a smart idea. Plus, now I'll definitely enjoy it everyday.
