Last year I failed miserably at my year-end to-do list. While I managed to get a few things taken care of like the table lamps for the living room and finding a better alternative to the sheer on the backdoor; the success stops there. I do have some pretty legitimate excuses - I don't have a sewing machine (yet!), I changed my mind on a few things, etc. But really, I just got busy with the Holidays and they were things that could wait. So wait they did.
A couple things are in the works; we purchased the trim for the kitchen cabinets and the wood to make the headboard for the guest room. But then...when I went to look at fabric to use for the headboard, I realized that I would kind of like a bedspread for the room. So I shouldn't make the headboard before knowing what the bedding looks like...that would be a silly thing to do. Since then I've been on the hunt for new bedding. And to get back to the cabinet trim - I'm hoping to get that installed this week. Fingers crossed! :)
Now, for that to-do list...here it goes:
1. Get kitchen cabinet trim installed.
2. Curtains for the living room.
3. Make a shower curtain for a oddly-sized bathtub.
4. Decorate the buffet in the dining room.
5. Paint the master bedroom.
6. Make a headboard for the guest room.
7. Get a ceiling light installed in our master bedroom.
8. Refinish our coffee table.
I think that's it for now. Especially because I know there will be other little things that crop up along the way. I'm hoping to get this list finished up by the end of April. I've said it before - I work best with a deadline. Hopefully I'll be able to stick with this one! What about you all? Any big to-do lists for 2011? I'd love to hear about all the projects you have planned!

We have to make a headboard for the guest bedroom, too. The room looks so plain right now!
